Stock Photo: Vaccum Tube

So you hear all about them from those who remember them from the "old days", but you never see them... so you can imagine my dieselpunk nerd "squee!" when I found some in a box of my grandpa's odds and ends from his days as an electrical draftsman. (Found out reciently that he did a stint at Westinghouse in the 50's- the same company that Nikolai Tesla did most of his industrial and commercial work at. small world, huh?)

I've got tons more stock I'd be willing to share where this came from: old school tech, industrial machinery, farm equipment, animals, pretty looking clouds... I've gotten to be a bit of a shutterbug in trying to build my reference image files. If people are interested, let me know and I'll post more of them.

The Rules for use:
- Give me credit for the stock image if you use it; include something like this in your artist's comments:
Stock/reference used: by
ing is encouraged if you use the image.
- This photo is open to both commercial and personal uses as a reference, for texture, for color sampling, as stock for photomanipulation, or other uses that modify or indirectly reproduce it (such as drawing or painting it)
What I mean by modification: Skewing or color tweaking alone does not qualify as modifying the image. Merging scaled down cut-and-paste copies into your photomanip image as a component in your dieslepunk computer, or using it as the base for a 3d texture would be modification, for example.
Tracing is discouraged (because it teaches you nothing) but if you must, feel free.
Ask before using it for a major commercial venture, such as if you want to make t-shirts with a lineart done from the image or something- I'll be reasonable, but I've got to eat too.
